Lula maintains a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte first-round polling for the October 4, 2026, presidential vote, with recent state surveys showing him at 47-58% against Flávio Bolsonaro in the low-to-mid 20s and other names in single digits. This underpins trader consensus on his first-place finish. Northeast regional patterns, including historical support for PT-linked social programs, reinforce the positioning ahead of the first-round ballot. National tightening between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro has not altered the state gap, though late shifts in undecided voters, stronger showings by candidates like Augusto Cury, or turnout changes among key blocs could still affect the outcome in the coming weeks.
