Incumbent Lou Correa holds a commanding position in California's 46th Congressional District ahead of the November 3 general election, reflecting the district's Democratic lean and his established record since 2017. Correa advanced comfortably from the June 2 top-two primary with roughly 52 percent, outpacing Republican David Pan at 33 percent amid multiple Democratic challengers. Nonpartisan ratings from the Cook Political Report, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and others classify the race as solid or safe Democratic, consistent with Correa's prior 63 percent general-election margin. His substantial fundraising edge and cash reserves further reinforce trader consensus around his re-election prospects. Late developments such as a major scandal, health issue, or sharp national shift could still alter dynamics in the final weeks, though the current environment shows limited volatility.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
