Regional elections to elect the Regional Council of Region Kronoberg, Sweden are scheduled to take place on September 13, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Chair of the Regional Board of Region Kronoberg following the 2026 Swedish regional elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally elected by the relevant regional council as Chair of the Regional Board. Any interim or caretaker Chair will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Chair takes office by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Sweden and Region Kronoberg; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Henrietta Modig Serrate holds an 83.5% implied probability as the next chair of Region Kronoberg’s regional board, reflecting her incumbency since the April 2024 formation of the Social Democrats-Moderates majority coalition. The partnership, branded “Ansvar för Kronoberg,” ended the prior Alliance arrangement and delivered the region’s first majority government in the current mandate. Recent indicators include a strong 2025 financial result of 661 million kronor after adjustments, alongside ongoing focus on healthcare staffing and hospital planning. With regional elections scheduled for September 13, 2026, traders appear to price in continuity under the existing coalition framework, while lower-priced alternatives such as Ida Eriksson and other listed contenders reflect uncertainty over post-election seat distributions and potential coalition renegotiations. Resolution depends on the new regional council’s formal election of the chair by March 2027.
