Legislative elections are schedule to be held in Israel on October 27, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially appointed and sworn in as Prime Minister of Israel following the 2026 parliamentary election. If an election is called early, this market will immediately resolve to the individual who is officially appointed and sworn in after that election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Israel; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gadi Eisenkot leads trader pricing for Israel's next prime minister at 56% following the October 27, 2026 Knesset election, ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu at 28.5%, as recent polls show his Yashar party frequently placing first or tied with Likud while Eisenkot edges or matches Netanyahu as the preferred leader. Eisenkot's military record as former IDF chief, personal losses in the Gaza war, and hawkish security positions have drawn center-right and centrist support, positioning Yashar to potentially assemble a broader coalition than Netanyahu's current alignment of Likud with far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties. Netanyahu faces headwinds from persistent criticism over October 7 security lapses and coalition strains, while fragmented opposition results leave Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman, and others with single-digit shares. Coalition arithmetic remains tight, with most surveys projecting neither bloc near the 61-seat majority without additional partners.
