Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads trader consensus for next Quebec premier due to the Parti Québécois maintaining a consistent polling edge heading into the October 5, 2026, general election. Recent surveys place the PQ at roughly 29 percent support, ahead of the Coalition Avenir Québec under incumbent Premier Christine Fréchette and the Quebec Liberals led by Charles Milliard. Seat projections favor the PQ winning the most ridings, though a majority remains uncertain amid a fragmented vote split among federalist parties. Campaign focus on sovereignty, economic management, and health administration has reinforced Plamondon’s positioning while Fréchette’s short tenure as premier has not yet closed the gap. Minor-party candidates trail with negligible implied probabilities.
