Recent August CPI data showed a rebound to 0.8% year-on-year, driven by higher transport, energy, and technology-related prices that offset ongoing food deflation and subdued housing costs. Weak domestic demand continues to limit broader price pressures, keeping core inflation near 1.0% and supporting trader focus on the 0.9-1.0% band for September as the most likely outcome. Seasonal travel demand and global energy trends could add modest upward momentum before the National Bureau of Statistics release, while persistent supply-demand imbalances and soft retail sales cap upside risks. Lower readings remain possible if food prices weaken further.
