Capitão Alberto Neto leads trader expectations for second place in the Amazonas Senate race due to consistent polling positioning him as the strongest challenger behind Eduardo Braga for one of the two seats up on October 4. Recent surveys through September show Braga often ahead on first preferences and combined totals, while Neto maintains competitive or leading numbers in consolidated scenarios and performs strongly in Manaus, offsetting Braga’s interior advantage. Wilson Lima, Plínio Valério, and lower-polling names trail in most estimates, with geographic and party fragmentation limiting their second-vote consolidation. An upcoming September 25 debate and final campaign weeks remain the primary near-term variables that could shift second-place dynamics before voters select two senators.
