Official National Weather Service observations at Miami International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 90°F on September 9, 2026, reached at 2:55 PM EDT amid typical early-September conditions. This outcome aligns with the climatological average high of 89.7°F and recent surrounding days featuring highs of 89–93°F under persistent tropical moisture, east-southeast winds of 5–15 mph, and afternoon sea-breeze convection. Such patterns frequently limit peak temperatures through cloud cover and scattered showers, producing the strong market consensus around the 90–91°F bin. Realistic challenges would require suppressed convection allowing sustained clear skies or model errors underestimating insolation, though official station data and forecast guidance showed limited deviation from the 88–92°F envelope.
