Parliamentary elections to elect all 127 seats of the National Assembly of Quebec are scheduled to take place in Quebec on October 5, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the next Richmond Quebec National Assembly election for a full term beginning in October 2026 or thereafter. If the election results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official election results as published by Elections Quebec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca/).Guillaume Rousseau, the Coalition avenir Québec candidate and a University of Sherbrooke law professor who helped shape and defend Bill 21 on state secularism, leads trader pricing in the Richmond riding ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec National Assembly election. The seat, held by the CAQ since 2018 and previously by the Liberals, features a competitive field that includes former Sherbrooke mayor Bernard Sévigny for the Parti québécois, ex-journalist Hugo Fontaine for the Parti libéral du Québec, entrepreneur Dominic Bouffard for the Parti conservateur du Québec, and psychologist David Poulin-Latulippe for Québec solidaire. Recent candidate announcements, the open seat after incumbent André Bachand’s retirement, and the riding’s mixed 2022 results have kept the contest fluid, with 338Canada projections showing a narrow three-way spread among CAQ, PQ, and Liberal support. Traders appear to assign particular weight to Rousseau’s local profile and the CAQ’s organizational edge in Estrie as the election draws near, while lower odds for the other named contenders reflect their respective parties’ narrower paths in this constituency.
