The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Maine, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Trader consensus centers on 700K-750K total ballots as the most probable outcome for Maine’s November 3, 2026, U.S. Senate general election, reflecting historical midterm patterns in a state with consistently elevated participation.** Maine recorded 60.8% turnout of eligible voters in the 2022 midterm and averaged 64.9% across recent cycles, producing totals typically in the mid-to-high 600Ks before population and registration growth. The current tight Collins-Jackson contest, rated a toss-up by multiple forecasters, sustains broad interest and high self-reported motivation among likely voters in recent polling. Same-day registration, expanded early and absentee options, and the absence of strict ID requirements further support participation near or modestly above baseline midterm levels without reaching presidential-year benchmarks near 74%. Recent September surveys show stable engagement with no major late catalysts shifting the outlook.
