This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Connecticut. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Governor of Connecticut, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Connecticut's 2026 gubernatorial election on November 3 features incumbent Democrat Ned Lamont seeking a third term against Republican state Sen. Ryan Fazio, following Lamont's primary win over Josh Elliott.** With roughly 2.36 million registered voters, historical patterns from the 2022 governor race (about 1.27 million total votes at 57.6% turnout) and other off-year contests point to a likely total in the 1.3–1.4 million range. No-excuse absentee voting and early in-person options, expanded in recent years, support moderate-to-solid participation, while the low-competition general election environment and typical summer-to-fall primary dynamics limit upside surprises. Trader consensus reflects these structural factors and the absence of major recent catalysts that would push totals significantly higher or lower.
