This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Alabama. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Alabama, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The non-competitive dynamics of Alabama’s open U.S. Senate contest, with Republican nominee Barry Moore holding a wide lead over Democrat Everett Wess in a state where Republicans have dominated recent statewide results, contribute to clustered trader probabilities across mid-range turnout bins. Low participation in the May and June 2026 primaries and runoffs—around 11 percent—signals limited baseline enthusiasm that could carry into the November 3 general election. Concurrent races, particularly the gubernatorial rematch, and broader factors such as voter mobilization, economic conditions, and national political climate will likely determine whether total ballots align closer to typical midterm levels near 1.4 million or shift higher or lower. Historical patterns show Alabama midterm turnout often trails presidential years, sustaining uncertainty reflected in the balanced market distribution.
