If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Ohio, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The closely contested Ohio U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Jon Husted and Democrat Sherrod Brown, polling within the margin of error in recent surveys, serves as the primary driver of trader expectations for total votes cast on November 3. With roughly 8 million registered voters in the battleground state, the competitive dynamics and economic concerns such as inflation and affordability have sustained elevated engagement across parties. Primary turnout data from May indicated stronger Democratic mobilization and solid Republican base participation, while generational divides and high motivation among voters 50 and older—often exceeding 80 percent intent—support projected totals clustering in the 4.35 million to 4.8 million range. Ongoing voter outreach, independent crossover potential, and routine roll maintenance further shape these mid-range probabilities ahead of the general election.
