This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Kentucky. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Kentucky, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Trader consensus centers on 1.6M–1.7M total votes cast in Kentucky’s November 3, 2026, U.S. Senate election, priced at 57.5%.** This range aligns with historical midterm turnout patterns in the state, where participation typically falls well below presidential-year levels of roughly 2.08 million ballots (about 59% of registered voters) seen in 2024. The open-seat contest between Republican nominee Andy Barr and Democrat Charles Booker is rated Safe Republican by forecasters, with recent polls showing Barr ahead by 9–10 points among likely voters. Lower competitiveness generally reduces mobilization incentives compared with closer races. Primary turnout reached about 23–26% in May 2026 amid high-profile Republican and Democratic contests for the McConnell seat, but general-election interest has not produced comparable signals. Voter registration closes October 5, with no-excuse early voting available; no major late-breaking events or weather forecasts have yet shifted expectations for this range.
