Incumbent Mayor Jeff Fawcett holds the leading trader consensus in the Brandon, Manitoba mayoral race ahead of challenger Len Isleifson, reflecting his record on financial stability, housing initiatives, regional partnerships, and infrastructure projects during his first term. Isleifson, a former city councillor and Brandon East MLA, campaigns on enhanced public safety, sustainable growth, and expanded community services as alternatives to the status quo. With registration closing September 22 and no other serious contenders registered as of early September, the contest remains a two-candidate dynamic. Fawcett’s incumbency and recent handling of local issues such as flooding provide continuity advantages, while Isleifson seeks to build momentum through targeted outreach before the October 28 vote.
