The fragmented field of declared candidates in the October 9-10 first round keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered, with no dominant frontrunner emerging yet in the social-democratic primary process. Recent announcements by figures such as Olivier Faure, Raphaël Glucksmann, Jérôme Guedj, Philippe Brun, Ségolène Royal, and Emmanuel Maurel, all within the past month, have introduced competing platforms focused on economic justice, republican values, and distancing from other left-wing currents. Ongoing discussions over primary rules, participation fees, and potential inclusion of additional voices have added procedural uncertainty without shifting momentum decisively toward any single contender. Traders appear to price in the possibility that early positioning, endorsements from party structures, and the electronic voting format could still alter relative standings before ballots close.
