Recent polling ahead of Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election shows the Sweden Democrats maintaining a clear lead over the Moderate Party for second place, with SD consistently around 19-20% and Moderates near 17%. This positioning reflects SD’s stable voter base as the primary right-wing populist option and its role supporting the Tidö government, while Moderates trail within the same bloc. The centre-left opposition bloc holds a narrow overall edge, but individual party trends have not altered SD’s ranking. Late gains by the Liberals above the 4% threshold have tightened the bloc contest without shifting second-place dynamics. Traders assign SD an 81% implied probability for second place, consistent with the latest Novus and aggregated survey data.
