Official temperature readings from National Weather Service stations in Houston on September 9 showed a minimum of 78-79°F, aligning with the market's near-certain 99% implied probability for that bin. Late-summer subtropical conditions, including a stable air mass with minimal frontal activity and typical Gulf moisture, produced overnight lows consistent with climatological norms for early September. Model consensus and surface observations reinforced this outcome without significant deviations. Resolution hinges on verified station data, so only discrepancies in official reporting or post-event quality control revisions could realistically alter the result, though such changes remain uncommon at this probability level.
