Recent polling averages position National and Labour as the clear frontrunners for first and second place ahead of the November 7 election, leaving New Zealand First, the Greens, and ACT competing for third under New Zealand’s MMP system. New Zealand First’s consistent 8–11% support, reinforced by its governing coalition role and recent immigration policy announcements, drives trader consensus toward a third-place finish. The Greens’ recent gains to 12–14% in some surveys keep them competitive but behind in aggregate trends, while ACT’s rise to around 10% narrows the gap without overtaking. Minor parties like Te Pāti Māori and the Opportunity Party remain below thresholds that would alter the ordering. These dynamics reflect the latest multi-poll aggregates rather than any single survey fluctuation.
