**Recent polling in Alagoas shows Arthur Lira (PP), Renan Calheiros (MDB), and Marina JHC (PSDB) statistically tied within the margin of error for the state’s two Senate seats, with combined first-and-second-choice support clustered in the mid-to-high teens to low 20s percent range as of late August.** Each voter selects two candidates on October 4, 2026, which amplifies the importance of vote combinations and second preferences. Longstanding factional rivalries between the Lira- and Calheiros-aligned groups, substantial undecided and blank/null shares (often 20–30 percent), and shifting alliances keep the contest for second place especially fluid. Trader pricing reflects this tight clustering, with Renan and Lira near parity ahead of Marina and lower-polling names; further coalition moves, campaign momentum, or turnout shifts among key blocs could alter the ordering before election day.
