Angie Nixon secured the Democratic nomination for Florida’s U.S. Senate special election after a strong primary performance that included carrying Broward County by double digits. As the Democratic nominee facing appointed Republican incumbent Ashley Moody in a heavily Democratic urban county, traders view Nixon as the clear frontrunner there due to consistent partisan voting patterns and her recent campaign stops emphasizing affordability and local mobilization. Moody’s minimal support in the market reflects Broward’s established Democratic lean and limited Republican inroads. While late shifts in turnout or national conditions could narrow margins, the county’s demographics and Nixon’s primary results anchor the current trader consensus.
