Official National Weather Service observations recorded a minimum temperature of 79°F at Miami International Airport on September 9, 2026, aligning closely with the market's 80-81°F range amid typical early-September conditions. Persistent tropical moisture, easterly winds, and sea-breeze patterns prevented significant overnight cooling, keeping lows near the 1991-2020 normal of 77°F and recent daily minima of 74-78°F. No cold fronts or anomalous atmospheric setups disrupted the pattern, supporting trader consensus backed by real-time station data. A rare late-season frontal passage or measurement revision could theoretically shift the outcome, though such events are climatologically improbable in mid-September.
