Recent MetService and international model guidance indicate a maximum of 14–15 °C in Wellington on 11 September under mainly fine conditions, with southerlies shifting to northwesterlies and only a low chance of an afternoon shower. This aligns with typical early-spring climatology for the region, where average daily highs reach about 14 °C amid variable westerly flow and occasional high-pressure ridges. Current ensemble consensus shows limited spread, with no strong warm advection or cold outbreak expected to push extremes beyond the 13–16 °C window. Traders appear to be weighting the official 14 °C forecast most heavily while allowing modest probability for a 15 °C peak if daytime insolation exceeds expectations. The next model runs and any updated MetService briefing will provide the final data ahead of market resolution.
