Incumbent Letitia James holds a commanding position in the 2026 New York Attorney General race, with traders assigning her a 93.5% implied probability of victory on November 3. As the sitting Democratic officeholder since 2019, she advanced unopposed through her party's primary in a state with a consistent Democratic tilt in statewide contests. Her Republican opponent, former federal prosecutor Saritha Komatireddy, also secured an uncontested nomination but faces structural headwinds typical for the minority party in New York. Recent activity from James's office on consumer protection and investigations has underscored her visibility, while national political dynamics and any ongoing legal matters remain potential variables that could influence turnout or perceptions before Election Day.
