Robert Sprague holds the leading position in trader consensus for the Ohio Secretary of State race at 71 percent, reflecting his status as the Republican nominee following a May primary victory and the state's recent Republican performance in statewide contests. The open seat stems from term limits on incumbent Frank LaRose, who is running for state auditor instead. Allison Russo, the Democratic nominee after her primary win, sits at 24.5 percent amid ongoing debates over election security measures such as citizenship verification and voter identification requirements. The general election on November 3, 2026, features a Libertarian candidate as well, though recent developments have centered on primary outcomes and platform contrasts rather than new polling shifts.
