Recent forecast model runs from sources including the GFS indicate a highest temperature near 16°C in Helsinki on September 20, driven by persistent southwesterly flow advecting mild maritime air under mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and wind gusts exceeding 15 m/s. These conditions suppress diurnal warming compared to clear-sky scenarios, aligning with climatological norms for mid-September where average daily highs reach about 15°C. Trader consensus favoring 17°C or 16°C reflects the narrow range of ensemble outputs, with limited upside potential absent a ridge build or reduced cloud cover; downside risk to 15°C or lower remains if precipitation intensifies or winds strengthen further. Updated short-range guidance and official Finnish Meteorological Institute briefings expected in the next 24–48 hours will likely refine these probabilities ahead of market resolution.
