National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble models indicate a high near 98–100°F for Austin on September 20, driven by a persistent warm, dry air mass with southerly flow, limited cloud cover, and strong diurnal heating under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. This setup favors peak afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s to low 100s, well above the 90°F climatological average, with heat indices potentially exceeding 105°F. Trader consensus aligns with this, pricing 98–99°F highest at 54% and 100–101°F at nearly 20%, reflecting low precipitation risk and stable steering patterns through the period. Minor model spreads around exact peak values and local urban heat effects introduce the main uncertainty ahead of final observations.
