Traders assign near-certain probability to a 37°C high in Karachi on September 20 because Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts and numerical models consistently project a daytime peak near that threshold under mostly clear skies, light westerly to northwesterly flow, and typical post-monsoon humidity. Official guidance notes sea breezes moderating extremes while afternoon temperatures climb from overnight lows near 26°C, aligning with climatological September averages around 35°C yet nudged higher by current atmospheric patterns. This market-implied outcome reflects aggregated real-time observations and model consensus rather than speculation. A stronger-than-expected sea breeze, increased cloud cover, or revised station measurements could still shift the recorded maximum by 1–2°C before final verification.
