Recent Buenos Aires City inflation data at 1.7% for August, down sharply from July's 2.9% seasonal spike, has anchored trader sentiment toward the 1.5-1.7% national outcome at 79.3% implied probability. This early indicator aligns with the broader disinflation trajectory under tight monetary policy and fiscal surplus, following July's 2.1% national print that exceeded expectations due to recreation and housing pressures. Core measures have stayed near 1.6-1.8%, supporting expectations for a sub-2% August reading consistent with analyst forecasts around 1.8-2.0%. The national INDEC release, due imminently, represents the key near-term catalyst, with market-implied odds reflecting real-capital consensus on contained price pressures amid stable exchange rates and moderating inertia.
