Recent polling from institutes including Datafolha, Quaest, and Real Time Big Data shows Marília Arraes (PDT) holding a consistent lead for one of Pernambuco’s two Senate seats ahead of the October 4 election, leaving a tight contest for second place between incumbent Humberto Costa (PT) and Mendonça Filho (PL). These surveys place the pair within a few points of each other in combined-vote scenarios, often inside margins of error, with Eduardo da Fonte (PP) and Túlio Gadêlha (PSD) further back. High shares of undecided voters and blank or null ballots continue to sustain volatility in second-place positioning. Trader pricing reflects this polling closeness and the absence of decisive late shifts, while any final-week endorsements, turnout patterns among key regional blocs, or official ballot rulings could still alter the order.
