**Recent polling in the Piauí Senate race for the two seats up in 2026 shows Marcelo Castro (MDB) frequently leading or tied, with Júlio César (PSD) and Ciro Nogueira (PP) competing closely behind amid high undecided shares and strategic two-vote dynamics.** Júlio César benefits from lower rejection rates and alignment with the state government coalition, positioning him as the frontrunner for second place in trader assessments. Ciro Nogueira’s higher rejection has capped his momentum despite incumbency, while other registered candidates trail far behind in surveys from mid-2026 onward. The market’s tight pricing around leading contenders reflects ongoing uncertainty from late undecided voters, potential shifts in second-preference flows, and the absence of decisive late-campaign events that could reorder the pelotão.
