The spread in probabilities for total votes cast in Georgia’s November 3 Senate general election reflects uncertainty over midterm participation in a competitive contest between incumbent Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Mike Collins, running alongside an open governor’s race. Recent polling averages show Ossoff ahead by roughly four to seven points, yet both campaigns face challenges sustaining broad enthusiasm, with historical patterns of lower turnout in non-presidential years and variable early voting influenced by concurrent primaries and runoffs. Traders appear to price in moderate mobilization rather than record levels, given base turnout trends and the absence of a presidential contest to drive participation. Intensified get-out-the-vote efforts, shifts in polling on voter motivation, or late developments affecting swing demographics could push probabilities toward higher or lower brackets.
