Aaron Ford holds a strong 68.5% implied probability to carry Washoe County in the November 2026 Nevada gubernatorial election, compared with 29% for incumbent Joe Lombardo. Washoe, Nevada’s second-largest county encompassing Reno, has trended more competitive than Clark County and delivered key margins in recent cycles. Ford’s June primary victory over Washoe Commissioner Alexis Hill bolstered his northern Nevada profile, while both candidates emphasize affordability, housing costs, and job growth in a race rated lean Republican statewide. Recent polling averages show Lombardo ahead overall by roughly four points, yet traders appear to price in Ford’s structural advantages in this suburban and independent-heavy area ahead of the general election.
