In the Pernambuco Senate race, where voters select two candidates for the October 4 election, recent Quaest polling shows Marília Arraes (PDT) narrowly ahead at 17%, followed by Humberto Costa (PT) at 14% and Mendonça Filho (PL) at 11%, within the margin of error and reflecting a tight contest among the leaders. High levels of undecided voters and blank or null ballots sustain uncertainty over final positioning. Trader consensus places Humberto Costa and Mendonça Filho as the most probable for second place, consistent with their established bases, coalition support, and prior electoral experience in the state. Further polling releases or campaign developments on key issues such as security could alter the narrow gaps among the top contenders before election day.
