Recent forecast models highlight a strengthening southwesterly flow and clear nocturnal conditions as the main drivers splitting trader views on Buenos Aires minimum temperature for September 22. Southerly advection of cooler maritime air, combined with light winds and low dew points favoring radiational cooling after sunset, supports potential overnight lows near or below 4–6 °C. Conversely, any earlier wind shift, increased cloud cover, or slower frontal passage could limit cooling and keep readings above 10 °C. Historical September minima average near 8–10 °C, underscoring how small changes in boundary-layer stability and advection timing create the narrow gap between sub-1 °C and double-digit outcomes reflected in current market-implied odds. Updated model runs tonight will refine these thresholds ahead of resolution.
