Israel is scheduled to hold Knesset elections on October 27, 2026. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Knesset votes to express confidence in a new government by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A vote will qualify only if it passes and the new government is constituted. A vote that is held but fails will not qualify. A motion of no confidence in an existing government will not qualify. The continuation in office of the outgoing caretaker government will not be considered. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Knesset; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Recent Israeli election polls project the pro-Netanyahu and opposition blocs nearly tied around 53 seats each in the October 27, 2026 Knesset vote, well short of the 61-seat majority required to form a stable coalition and leaving Arab parties with decisive leverage. The current caretaker government stems from the 25th Knesset’s dissolution in July, with any successor requiring formal Knesset approval through a vote of confidence once negotiations conclude. Fragmented seat distributions, sticking points over Haredi conscription and party alliances, plus the typical multi-week or longer timeline for Israeli coalition talks after indecisive results sustain trader expectations of potential delays past year-end. Late shifts in polling, pre-election list decisions by September 30, or accelerated post-election bargaining remain the main variables that could alter the balance toward quicker approval or extended uncertainty.
