Netanyahu's ongoing corruption trial in Israel's Jerusalem District Court remains far from resolution, with the prime minister completing his testimony across 98 hearings in June 2026 and judges reiterating long-standing concerns about proving the sole bribery charge in Case 4000. The panel has signaled that prosecutors should consider dropping that count while leaving fraud and breach-of-trust allegations in Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000. Remaining defense witnesses, closing arguments, and a potential verdict could extend into 2028 given the presiding judge's retirement timeline. No conviction has been issued in the six-year-old proceedings, and the procedural pace plus judicial commentary on evidentiary weaknesses have reinforced trader consensus against an imminent or certain guilty outcome.
