Lula maintains a commanding lead in Ceará polling for the October 2026 first round, with recent surveys from Datafolha and Real Time Big Data placing him at 54-59% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 23-26% and all other candidates in single digits or lower. This positioning reflects the state's longstanding voter patterns in the Northeast, where PT support has historically translated into strong first-round margins for Lula. Trader consensus at 96.5% for Lula to finish first aligns with these stable trends and the absence of major shifts in the final weeks before voting. Scenarios that could narrow the gap include a late consolidation of opposition votes, unusually high abstention among PT-leaning blocs, or unexpected national campaign developments that alter state-level preferences before election day.
