**Market-implied odds for Argentina’s 2026 annual inflation reflect a tight contest between the 30.0-34.9% and 25-29.9% brackets, driven by the ongoing disinflation trajectory under fiscal surplus and exchange-rate stability.** Recent monthly CPI prints have moderated to around 1.9-2.1% amid lower inertia, favorable seasonality, and the fading impact of earlier energy-price shocks, with year-over-year rates near 33% in mid-2026. Central Bank REM surveys and private forecasts cluster around 29-30.5% for December 2026, while the IMF sees a faster decline toward 25%. Traders weigh the pace of relative-price normalization and reserve accumulation against any reacceleration in regulated or service prices. Upcoming monthly INDEC releases through year-end remain the key swing factors that could shift sentiment between these closely matched outcomes.
