Persistent southerly flow and clear skies under high pressure are sustaining elevated overnight temperatures across central Texas, with National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models converging on a minimum near 76–78 °F for Austin on September 11—well above the 1991–2020 climatological low of ~69 °F. Weak Gulf moisture and minimal cloud cover limit radiational cooling, while daytime highs near 100 °F maintain a warm boundary layer into the night. This setup produces the tight clustering of market-implied odds around the 74–85 °F bins and the near-even split between sub-68 °F and 86 °F+ outcomes, reflecting residual spread in local mesonet observations and minor model differences in boundary-layer mixing. Updated NWS and high-resolution forecasts tonight will provide the final calibration ahead of the overnight minimum.
