Imelda Castro Castro holds an 86.5% implied probability in the Sinaloa governor race because Morena designated her in August 2026 as the state coordinator for the defense of the Fourth Transformation, positioning her as the coalition’s standard-bearer for the June 2027 election. The move followed Rubén Rocha Moya’s indefinite leave amid U.S. charges and domestic backlash, allowing the party to select a senator with a long record in social movements and no direct association with the prior administration. Other registered aspirants within Morena and candidates from opposition parties trail at single-digit or lower probabilities, reflecting the structural advantage of the incumbent coalition in a state it has governed since 2021. Trader pricing incorporates the absence of competitive polling shifts or legal barriers that would alter the nomination timeline before the general election.
