The Democratic nominee holds a commanding 97.4% implied probability in the Massachusetts 7th district race because the seat ranks among the most reliably Democratic in the country, with a Cook PVI of D+34 and consistent margins exceeding 70 points in recent cycles. Incumbent Ayanna Pressley secured her party's nomination on September 1 with 98.4% of the primary vote and faces only an independent challenger in November, as no Republican filed for the general election. Race ratings from Cook, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and Inside Elections classify the contest as Solid or Safe Democratic. Trader consensus reflects the district's partisan composition, Pressley's established fundraising and endorsements, and the absence of competitive opposition. An upset would require an unprecedented shift, such as a major unforeseen scandal or health event affecting the incumbent.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
