Recent polling from Quaest, released September 8 after the start of free radio and television advertising on August 28, shows Guilherme Derrite (PP), Marina Silva (Rede), and Simone Tebet (PSB) in a technical tie for the two São Paulo Senate seats, with Derrite and Silva at 14% each and Tebet at 12%. A September 9 debate highlighted alliances, with Tebet and Silva coordinating on policy while right-leaning candidates including Derrite, André do Prado (PL), and Ricardo Salles (Novo) traded attacks over security and affiliations. Derrite leads in some first-preference breakdowns and benefits from backing by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, while high undecided voters (26%) and blanks (19%) keep separation uncertain ahead of the October 4 vote. Trader consensus reflects this narrow contest for first place.
