Capitão Alberto Neto holds the strongest trader consensus for second place in the Amazonas Senate race due to consistent polling strength as a second-choice option and concentrated support in Manaus. Recent surveys from August 2026, including those by Quaest and Veritá, place him ahead or tied in combined first- and second-vote totals behind Eduardo Braga, with advantages in the capital offsetting weaker interior numbers. Braga leads overall first-vote intentions but trails in second-vote projections, while Wilson Lima and Plínio Valério remain competitive through interior backing and established Senate profiles. The October 4 election features two seats per voter, amplifying the value of broad second-preference appeal amid geographic fragmentation. Scheduled late-September debates offer the final major catalysts before voting.
