Recent polling aggregates for Brazil’s October 4 first-round presidential vote show Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro firmly ahead, leaving a fragmented contest for third place among lower-polling contenders. Renan Santos of the Missão party has edged into the lead for that position in the most recent surveys, including AtlasIntel and several aggregators, after consistent single-digit support and gains among younger and anti-establishment voters. Augusto Cury of Avante, who surged earlier via social media and television exposure, has since declined in multiple mid-September readings. Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema remain further back in the low single digits. Traders appear to be weighting the latest polling trajectory and Santos’s sustained campaign visibility more heavily than Cury’s earlier momentum as the election nears.
