Kerry-Lynne Findlay holds a clear lead in trader pricing for the September 26 Abbotsford-Mission by-election because she is the BC Conservative leader contesting a riding the party captured with 55 percent in 2024. Reann Gasper resigned the seat in late August specifically to create the opening, and Findlay was acclaimed as the Conservative nominee shortly afterward. Pam Alexis, the NDP candidate and former agriculture minister who previously held the riding, trails in both historical results and an early September poll showing Findlay ahead by roughly 15 points. Minor-party candidates, including CentreBC’s Lakhwinder Jhaj, register negligible probabilities, consistent with limited organizational strength and the riding’s recent partisan pattern. Advance voting begins September 18, with no late developments reported that have altered the established margin.
