Recent polling in Minas Gerais shows Marília Campos (PT) leading for one Senate seat while a tight contest for second place involves Carlos Viana (PSD), Domingos Sávio (PL), Aécio Neves (PSDB), and others, with combined vote shares clustered within margins of error. Aécio’s late-August candidacy entry has reshuffled positioning and boosted his standing relative to prior surveys. High undecided voters (around 29%), split-ticket voting for the two seats, and approaching party substitution deadlines keep probabilities compressed. Trader consensus on the second-place outcome reflects these narrow polling gaps and uncertainty over final alliances and turnout patterns ahead of the October 4 election.
