Recent polling in Piauí shows a tight contest for the two Senate seats, with Marcelo Castro (MDB), Júlio César (PSD), and Ciro Nogueira (PP) clustered near the top in first- and second-vote scenarios. High undecided shares and blank/null intentions keep the ordering fluid, while Júlio César’s strength as a second-preference option and Castro’s consistent first-vote lead sustain close probabilities for second place. Elevated rejection for Ciro Nogueira limits his upside relative to the other two. The October 4 vote, combined with ongoing coalition alignments around Governor Rafael Fonteles, will determine final separation among these frontrunners and the long tail of lower-polling candidates.
