Recent National Weather Service forecasts and observational trends positioned a Seattle minimum temperature near the September climatological average of 53.7°F at Sea-Tac Airport. Persistent marine layer cloud cover, light southerly winds, and periods of light rain or drizzle limited nighttime radiative cooling, keeping lows in the mid-50s rather than allowing deeper drops toward the historical record low of 44°F. Model consensus from regional guidance supported 54–55°F as the most probable bin, aligning with the 62.5% market-implied probability and explaining the clustering of trader positions around that narrow range amid typical early-fall Pacific Northwest conditions.
