**Andrés Fontecilla of Québec solidaire holds a clear lead in the Laurier-Dorion riding for the October 5, 2026 Quebec general election.** As the incumbent since 2018, he benefits from strong historical results in this Montreal district (including 47.3% in 2022 on the transposed map), local name recognition, and consistent voter outreach on issues such as housing, immigration, and community services. Recent campaign activity, including public events shortly after the August 27 writ drop, reinforces his position. Independent projections from sources like 338Canada and Qc125 place QS support in the mid-to-high 30s percent range, well ahead of other parties. This underpins the elevated market probability for Fontecilla relative to challengers. Randy Legault-Rankin (Liberal) sits as the main alternative at a lower but notable level, consistent with the party’s secondary standing in recent riding history. Lower probabilities for Emil Parfyonov (CAQ), Kelly Lazo de la Vega (PQ), Derek Lefebvre (Conservative), and others reflect limited projected support and the first-past-the-post dynamics in this urban riding. Nomination deadlines remain open until mid-September, but no developments have materially altered the established positioning. Market pricing reflects trader assessment of these structural and polling factors ahead of the October vote.
